The kids love visits from their Oma & Opa. Opa is the resident story teller. When Taylor was younger and stayed at their house he would sleep in their room and Opa would tell stories untill he fell asleep. Oma has fun taking them to the store to pick something special out. This time it was fish! They had fun picking colors out and feeding their fish. Thanks Oma and Opa for coming to se us!
So we have Betta fish at home but the kids love to catch their own at the lakes and ponds. Thad braved it and took 4 kids fishing and caught 10 fish in 45 minutes. He was busy helping them real in. Good thing they can put their own worms on and cast!
It was a blast this year talking about Easter with the kids. We watched Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as a family. The kids talked through the scenes and related how Aslan (the Lion) parallels to Christ. They get so excited when he comes back to life! It's a must see if you haven't.
We did color Easter eggs too. The kids had us hide them and then hid them for each other and us several times. The egg version of hide and seek.
We went to Thad's parents on Sat before Easter. Thad brought rockets to lanch (what a hit for the kids) and they did an egg hunt with the cousins. What great weather for up their in April!
It was close to Zek's birthday so we did a birthday party too! I think he was most excited about the box of quarters he got! Taylor read his card to him and Sarah helped with the garbage pick up. I didn't grow up with cousins so it's fun to see them enjoy spending time together.
